Description
Located out of the Inter Pipeline Ltd. (IPL) Calgary office, the Advisor, Facility Volumetric & Production Reporting will report to the Supervisor, Forecasting & Volumetric Reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily/monthly NGL facility volumetric production data validation, reporting and analysis of the Inter Pipeline NGL facility assets.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Volumetric Accounting
· Complete daily and monthly volumetric data validation and reporting for NGL facilities including external Petrinex reporting
· Support gas forecasts and actuals by providing accurate volume and composition data
· Analyze and trend production data to detect errors or operational changes in production ensuring accurate production reporting and variance explanations
· Act as primary or secondary reviewer for monthly SOX compliance documents at NGL facilities, confirming accurate production data that is within the baselines
· Ad hoc production volume information request requiring trend or statistical analysis
· Streamline and automate volumetric validation process to improve reporting efficiencies and timeliness
· Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure all departments’ business requirements are addressed within the volumetric and production reporting
· Support annual regulatory submissions requiring production volume information (EPAP, S-23 and GHG/ESG reporting)
Measurement Validation
· Lead interface with operations teams to support troubleshooting all measurement and reporting issues within Historian/CVMS/Quorum TIPS systems
· Maintain and develop as required internal volumetric manuals, measurement practices and data management processes
· Support measurement review and auditing
· Analyze, verify and validate PI calculations and troubleshoot with PI focal
Systems
· Subject Matter Expert responsible for taking the lead in scope definition, vendor selection, user acceptance testing, and process documentation for volumetric and allocation systems upgrades or changes
· Liaise with IT for bug fixes, enhancements, growth projects, and system upgrades to volumetric systems
Education, Skills and Experience
· 5 to 10 years in volumetric accounting or similar volumetric measurement reporting experience preferably a minimum of 2 years in midstream or downstream operations
· Knowledgeable in AER Directive 17 and API / GPA measurement standards
· Field level measurement experience or knowledge considered a strong asset
· Strong troubleshooting, organizational and analytical skills with proficiency in excel
· Ability to work successfully both individually and within team environments.
· Desire to challenge the status quo and willingness to address challenges
Hours
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
