Description
Located out of our Calgary office, the individual in Technical System Analyst role will report to the Supervisor, Application Sustainment. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders and end users to resolve issues, maintain systems and optimize the use of technologies that support processes within the Plant and Pipeline operations.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
· Participate in the development, implementation, installation, updating and testing of the MAS 9 (Manage) application suite
· Provide customer support to resolve technical issues and implement enhancements
· Actively manage and prioritize service requests, incidents, and enhancement tasks
· Maintain and administer MAS 9 Manage (and other tools within the suite) to ensure a secure and stable applications and related interfaces
· Document requirements, technical configurations, business process maps, and training materials
· Involvement in applicable project work (as required) in order to ensure proper transition to operations
· Maintain cordial and effective communications and partnerships between IT and the business areas
· Adhere to Inter Pipeline's standards and best practices for the delivery, implementation and maintenance of systems and ensures third-party vendors are also in compliance
Education, Skills and Experience
• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of IT experience supporting and developing the Maximo application. Preferably with experience on the Maximo Application Suite (MAS) platform.
• Oil & Gas industry solution experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience and proven track record of delivering strong technical solutions to stakeholders
• Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
• Solid technical experience in Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Deep understanding of the MAS environment and configuration toolset within Manage, including Automation Scripts (Java, Python or Jython), Workflow Designer, Application Designer, Database Configuration, and the Migration Manager
Hours
Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day
