Description
Based out of Inter Pipeline’s Calgary or Sherwood Park office, the Fleet Management Analyst will report to the Manager, Safety, Training & Emergency Management. This role plays a critical part in overseeing and optimizing fleet operations, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, process optimization, and cost saving initiatives.
The Fleet Management Analyst supports the safe, compliant, and cost effective operation of the organization’s fleet by developing maintenance programs, optimizing fleet performance, and driving operational improvements. This role partners with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align fleet strategies with business objectives, ensure regulatory compliance, and clearly communicate fleet performance and driver compliance outcomes.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
• Administration of fleet of vehicles, boats, trailers, off-road equipment, and heavy-duty equipment for all Inter Pipeline business units in Alberta and Saskatchewan
• Maintain Inter Pipeline’s Transportation Safety Compliance program
• Consult with transportation safety regulators and third-party consultants as required
• Own and manage Vehicle Operation & Maintenance Standard and NSC Safety & Maintenance Program documents
• Function as liaison between provincial registries, vehicle lease companies, and internal departments
• Maintain monthly scorecards and reporting
• Manage:
o Annual and on-going registration of all plated fleet units
o Vehicle disposal
o Annual factory order submission
o Alberta Transportation & Transport Canada permits required for large vehicles
o Registration and plating of new trailers, ATV’s/UTV’s
o Annual distribution of insurance cards
o Transport Canada Certificates of Registry for boats
o Vehicle credit cards (V-Cards)
o Fleet Management SharePoint site
o Coding and submission of registry and maintenance invoices
Education, Skills and Experience
• Degree, diploma, or certificate in Transportation Management or a related field
• 5+ years’ experience in fleet management
• Strong working knowledge of transportation legislation, including the National Safety Code
• Proven ability to interpret legislation and communicate safety and risk requirements to diverse audiences
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail in data analysis, compliance monitoring, and documentation
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality fleet services
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills to address fleet operation challenges
• Administrative experience considered an asset
Hours
Full-time, Monday-Friday
The successful candidate may be based out of Inter Pipeline’s Calgary or Sherwood Park office.
