Description

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Trucking Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing daily crude and NGL trucking activities to support safe, efficient, and cost‑effective product movement. You will analyze operational data, monitor trends, and help drive improvements that strengthen day‑to‑day scheduling performance.

As a key member of the logistics function, you will collaborate closely with traders, operations staff, field personnel, and third‑party providers to ensure seamless and reliable transportation that supports IPL’s commercial objectives.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

•    Manage and optimize daily crude and NGL truck scheduling, maintaining accurate tracking files for C4/C5 movements.
•    Coordinate logistics from wellhead to facilities, ensuring efficient routing and proactive communication with vendors.
•    Work with Crude and NGL Traders to support economical scheduling decisions that align with commercial strategies.
•    Verify and reconcile truck tickets, monitor lifted/delivered volumes, and assist with invoice validation and accrual preparation.
•    Use SCADA data to monitor batch system operations and identify any issues proactively.
•    Track and analyze operational trends such as flow rates, tank levels, and outages to support operational planning.
•    Review logistics metrics (e.g., wait times, freight rates, fuel surcharges) and recommend moderate process improvements to strengthen daily efficiency.
•    Maintain effective working relationships with trucking vendors and support discussions related to service levels, performance issues, or day to day operational needs.
•    Coordinate trucking activities with producers and internal teams to support seamless wellhead operations.
•    Compile and validate operational and financial data for accruals, actuals, and invoicing accuracy.
•    Maintain accurate documentation of scheduling activity, truck tickets, and daily butane files to support compliance and operational integrity.
•    Partner with field operations on issues related to outages, integrity work, or operational changes affecting trucking.
•    Identify opportunities for incremental process improvements or workflow efficiencies and support implementation efforts.
•    Provide guidance, coaching, and on the job support to junior schedulers and new team members as required.
•    Participate in team-driven initiatives to improve scheduling accuracy, coordination, or reporting processes.

Education, Skills and Experience

•    3-5 years of experience in logistics, scheduling, supply chain operations, or transportation coordination.
•    Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and support process optimization efforts.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with modeling or analytical tools is an asset.
•    Experience working with SCADA systems is an asset
•    Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to explain practices, procedures, and operational impacts to internal partners.
•    Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to complete moderately complex assignments with minimal supervision.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day
