Description
We are seeking an experienced ETRM Business Analyst with deep expertise in Endur to join the Marketing Systems, Processes & Data team reporting directly to the Manager at the Calgary Head Office.
This role will focus on configuring and enhancing Endur to model new transaction types and support the full deal lifecycle, from deal capture through to settlement. Acting as a liaison between Front, Middle, Back Office, and IT teams, the BA will ensure trading workflows are optimized, scalable, well-documented, and sustained.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Lead the design and front-end configuration of new deal types in Endur to support evolving trading strategies and product offerings.
- Collaborate with Trading, Contracts, Credit, Risk, Scheduling, Accounting, and IT teams to define and document deal lifecycle processes.
- Translate business requirements into Endur configuration tasks (e.g., instrument definition, TPM workflows, scheduling, etc.).
- Write Business cases and work with all stakeholders to take it to closure
- Perform Functional unit Testing (FUT) and make sure functionality is ready for UAT with Business. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, coordinating with end users, and validating system behavior.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation including work instructions, configuration guides, and process maps.
- Provide day-to-day support for business users, resolving issues and responding to change requests.
- Assist with end user training for new features and enhancements.
- Coordinate with IT teams and external vendors as needed for complex enhancements or integrations.
Education, Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM), with at least 3 years hands-on experience with Endur.
- Strong understanding of physical and financial commodity trading processes (e.g., NGLs, crude, natural gas, power).
- Proven ability to model and configure trades in Endur, including familiarity with deal templates, TPM workflows, and settlements.
- Experience working across Front, Middle, and Back Office functions.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional discussions.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting UAT and conducting user training sessions.
- Experience working in a highly customized Endur environment. Preferably worked on Endur Version 23.0
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, PnL, credit, or scheduling in the Canadian energy sector.
- Understanding of North American Pipelines will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of .NET scripting or OpenJVS is an asset.
Hours
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
