Description
Located out of the Inter Pipeline Calgary office, the Finance Student will report to the Supervisor, FP&A, Heartland Finance. As a key member of the Heartland team, the finance co-op will support the reconciliation of reports, generate reports, analyse reports and assist in ad hoc requests.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
• Transform data into visually appealing dashboards that are easy to read and support decision making with the use of Power BI
• Assist other team members in responding to enquiries on existing reports /data and reconciliation of finance reports in a timely manner
• Gain experience and knowledge in polypropylene
• Support in maintaining up to date documentation, tracking and communicating project status and preparing presentation materials for internal meetings
• Ad-Hoc tasks as needed
Education, Skills and Experience
• Post-secondary student who has completed their 2nd or 3rd year in Finance, and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Manage expectations and prioritize work-based requirements
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform critical self-reviews, and
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Experience in a corporate office, considered an asset
Hours:
• 4 month term, May 2026 – August 2026
• Monday to Friday; 40 hours per week
As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment criminal background check and transcript assessment with satisfactory results.
