Description

Located out of our Calgary office, the individual in the FP&A Summer Student (Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst) will report to the Senior Manager, Forecasting, Planning & Analysis. The successful candidate will support Inter Pipeline’s Forecasting, Planning & Analysis department.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

•    Prepare financial analysis, management reporting and communication materials for senior management
•    Support and co-ordinate budgeting process and financial planning including preparation of consolidated financial statements
•    Support business delivery on key strategic financial initiatives and new opportunities
•    Possess a flavor for understanding of accounting policies and controls 
•    Assist with analytical support in various areas of the company

Education, Skills and Experience

•    Enrolled in a university program, ideally with a focus in finance, economics or accounting
•    Ideally 3rd or 4th year university student
•    Good Microsoft Excel skills with exposure to financial and data modeling
•    Comfortable presenting, and communicating with internal stakeholders
•    Organized and ability to co-ordinate across diverse business units  
•    Willingness to work in a fast-paced, growth environment
•    Keen interest in understanding the key business drivers of different businesses within IPL

Hours

Monday  - Friday, 40 hours per week

4 month term - May to August 2026 

 

As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of employment verification and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
