Description

Inter Pipeline is excited to offer a 12-month Student position within our Financial Reporting team from May 2026 to April 2027. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience, deepen your understanding of financial reporting, and learn from a team of experienced professionals in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn about accounting and financial reporting within an established organization.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

•    Assist in the preparation of Inter Pipeline’s financial statements, MD&A, and other financial reports
•    Contribute to the monthly consolidation of Inter Pipeline and its subsidiaries
•    Prepare financial analysis and internal reporting for management throughout the organization
•    Support research and documentation of appropriate accounting treatments for new transactions, agreements, and accounting standards 
•    Collaborate and liaise with Business Unit accounting groups, internal SOX team, and external auditors
•    Assist with other special projects, as required

Education, Skills and Experience

•    Enrolled in, or a recent graduate from, a post-secondary institution with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or Business
•    Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
•    Strong organizational skills; ability to manage and progress multiple deliverables
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to perform critical self-review
•    Well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal)
•    Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development

Hours

Full Time, Monday - Friday
   

12 month Student position from May 2026 – April 2027 

 

As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
