Description

 

Based out of the Inter Pipeline Ltd. Calgary office, the Intern/Student will report to the Manger, Indigenous Relations (IR). The Intern/Student will support Inter Pipeline’s Indigenous Relations community engagements and events, and work with IT and Supply Chain on data management and cleanup.  The successful candidate will support the IR team in administrative and event logistics, as well as participate at community events across Alberta and Saskatchewan where Inter Pipeline operates. 

Key Activities and Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with administration and logistics for Inter Pipeline’s Indigenous Relations Program including supporting Community Investment, Community Outreach and Employee Volunteering programs where applicable to Indigenous communities.
  • Assist in managing and driving Indigenous Relations vehicle to attend 6+ Indigenous events throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan
  • Assist in maintaining Indigenous event calendar
  • Assist in reviewing Benevity data for Indigenous community contributions
  • Maintain and track program inventory and assist with budget tracking
  • Maintain records of events, including photos
  • Write articles and Indigenous Relations updates for internal distribution
  • Support IR program reporting for ESG tracking
     

Education, Skills and Experience

 

  • Post-secondary student with preference given to students enrolled in Indigenous Relations, Native Studies, Public Relations, Communications. 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Able to lift and perform manual labour

Monday - Friday, on-site

Must be available to work some weekends, excluding most long weekends
