Job Description

Based out of our Calgary office and reporting into the Head of Human Resources, the Supervisor, HR Systems & Analytics leads a team of Analysts that enhance and provide technical support for the HR technologies used at Inter Pipeline, specifically the HRIS and the LMS. This position is accountable to communicate with key stakeholders in maintaining the HR Systems engagement process, providing a framework for prioritization within client groups, and working with internal groups to ensure that the HRIS meets business objectives and all audit requirements. This role also advises on best industry practice, and collaborates with HRBPs, IT, and leadership on projects that involve the technologies used in Human Resources.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

•    Mentor and support a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts who support and enhance the HR systems in use at IPL.
•    Oversee, provide governance for, and drive engagement through the HR Technology Engagement Model by providing a framework and process for Client Group Meetings  
•    Engage with key stakeholders to determine and manage priorities and resourcing for the teams through an agile monthly sprint planning process using DevOps.
•    Liaise with IT Corporate Applications team to action enhancement requests – this may include coordinating with impacted groups, assign to a team member, redirect to a different group, or deflect the request entirely.  
•    Partner with HR Analyst to compile HR reports and statistics (e.g., including board reporting, headcount / turnover trending, ESG reporting and D&I statistics) and communicate with key stakeholders.
•    Work with the internal audit and SOX teams to ensure the HRIS meets all audit requirements, including quarterly access audits and annual audit inquiries.
•    Champion HR Technology to drive adoption and engagement across the organization
•    Act as a project manager on the Performance, Calibration and Annual Compensation process launches.
•    Act as an Analyst, gathering requirements, testing enhancements, approving transactions and responding to support requests. 

Education, Skill and Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or five years equivalent work experience   
•    Working knowledge of HRIS systems and interfaces with Payroll, Timekeeping, Learning Management Systems.  Specific experience with Success Factors experience is crucial.
•    Broad knowledge of HR functional areas, structure and processes (Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, and core HCM)
•    Broad knowledge of IT functional areas, structure and processes (governance, integration, change management, etc.) 
•    Experienced in HRIS administration, processes, management and reporting  
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills

Hours

Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

 

As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
