Description

Located at the Heartland Complex Site (HPC) in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, this role reports to HPC SCM’s Field Contract Lead position. This position will work with a progressive and fast-paced group that will support the Operations, Maintenance and Project controls teams with leading the administration and day to day oversight of contractors’ time in a professional, timely, efficient, accurate, and cost-effective manner.


Key Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Verify and validate all incoming contractor data for labour, equipment, and materials (LEMS) in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness with the suppliers and approvers.
  • Administrate and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the LEMS Workflow end to end process
  • Collect data from multiple sources including field support and/or coordinators on completeness of data, keep all working documents, organized and secure
  • Reconcile discrepancies in data
  • Assist project controls personnel to generate weekly reporting or other LEMS reporting requirements
  • Working closely with SCM Contract & Procurement teams on spend thresholds for contract outline agreements and purchase orders that indicate contractors daily field cost spend (burn) rates and the necessary change orders required
  • Communicate with internal and external personnel to resolve any LEMS issues
  • Responsible for coordinating the collection of measurement information for assigned project portfolio including, Work Breakdown Structure, Overall Project Plan, Code of Accounts, Project Estimate, Budgets, and resource requirements to execute the projects
  • Monitor and evaluate cost, resource, schedule, and integrated earned value performance regarding the engineering contractors.
  • Complete month end accrual process for all work that pertains to assigned AFEs
  • Liaise with Maintenance Schedule focal for alignment on project reporting for projects and turnarounds
  • Key focal for invoicing issues for service orders with Contract Specialist and suppliers

 

Qualification, Experience, and Skills:

  • University degree or a mixture of college diploma and experience
  • AACEi certification an asset
  • 8-10 years’ experience or more in a relevant role, working with LEMS with a proven track record of successfully supporting a diverse operating group.
  • Experience working on projects with mixture of owner and contractor base
  • Experience in Oil & Gas Industry is an asset
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite at intermediate level and Excel at advanced level
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP (ERP System), and Maximo
  • Proficiency with cost management software such as Ecosys. 

 

Hours and schedule: 

40h a week, 9x80 schedule*

*9x80 schedule is a type of compressed work schedule that allows employees to work 80 hours over nine days instead of the usual ten, having 1 Friday off in every 2 weeks.
